After 10 months living in Japan and performing as a Lead Vocalist in 'Song of Mirage' at Tokyo Disney, Laura had to return from her contract early due to the pandemic. She had an incredible contract opening a brand new show called 'Song of Mirage', where she originated and created the part of 'The Diva' - it was a very challenging singing role! The adventures with Disney are not over yet! Laura is delighted to announce that she has been offered a lead role in a brand new show opening in Tokyo Disney this summer. She will be flying over to Japan in May to begin rehearsals.
West End show! Laura performed with the Satin Dollz and The Jive Aces in the 'Big Beat Revue' at the Aldwych Theatre in London's West End this February. This was the first date of a big UK tour with The Jive Aces and The Satin Dollz - Laura will be touring to various theatres around the UK over the next couple of months. She can't wait to get started!
Laura loved her short Christmas contract working on 'Mickey's Christmas Big Band'. During her time in Paris she also managed to perform in various gigs with the Parisian branch of The Satin Dollz.
Laura begins rehearsals for 'Mickey's Christmas Big Band' on 10th October. She can't wait to meet the rest of the cast and start performing with the live band. Costumes have been custom made by the Moulin Rouge for the production! It will run from November 8th - January 6th 2019.
Laura has spent the first half of this year performing around the UK with The Satin Dollz, singing at lots of events including The Chelsea Flower Show, the RAF Centenary Ball, Bletchley Park and performing live on French television channel BeIn Sports. She is now about to start rehearsals as a Lead Vocalist for a show at Disneyland Paris called "Mickey's Christmas Big Band" and she can't wait to get started.
Laura is delighted to be newly represented by Russell Smith Associates. She is looking forward to working with them and can't wait to see what this will bring for the future.
Laura had a great time filming at Aardman Animations studios in Bristol recently. She played 'Gabriella Moses' in an interactive game on the BBC website which was part of a big campaign to educate children, teens and young adults on Fake News.
Laura had a great 4 months performing as Elsa in 'Mickey and the Magician', as well as rehearsing and gigging with the Paris branch of The Satin Dollz. She is excited to be back in the UK and has a few exciting opportunities coming up, including some filming with the BBC in Bristol and gigs with The Satin Dollz and The Jive Aces in London.
Following successful auditions, Laura is now part of the international singing and tap-dancing pin-up troup 'The Satin Dollz'. She will be a vocalist with the group, performing well-known vintage and big band numbers. Based in Hollywood, London and Paris, the Satin Dollz have performed multiple times on BBC Radio singing with the UK's No.1 Swing and Jive Band, The Jive Aces, to over 20 million listeners and at London's world renowned 100 Club. Jazz residencies have included Los Angeles' famous Cicada Club with Dean Mora's 10 pc Swing Orchestra, the historic Queen Mary in Long Beach, and recently at the Jazz Cave in St. Julien's Bay, Malta. Other notable appearances have included the famed Swing 46 in New York with the George Gee 17 pc Orchestra, Los Angeles' inaugural Fleet Week, and for WWII veteran and legendary triple ace Col. Bud Anderson.
After a few months living and working in London, Laura is very excited to have been offered a lead role as Elsa in the award-winning show ‘Mickey and the Magician’ at Disneyland Paris. She’ll be performing in 5 shows per day singing 'Let It Go' at the Animagique Theatre.
After another 6 months at sea Laura is back home in Brighton. She had a great contract on board the Seaboard Quest, regularly performing in 7 different shows and singing a variety of styles such as Musical Theatre, Jazz, Pop, Country and Rock’n’Roll.
Laura has had the most amazing time the past year singing on two luxury 6-star cruise ships but has now decided to move back to London and focus on other areas of the industry.
Laura is delighted to have been offered a contract with Belinda King Creative Productions for the role of Lead Vocalist on board the Seabourn Quest.
After a challenging audition process in London in February, Belinda offered Laura a six month long contract on board this luxury 6 star cruise ship, travelling all around Europe, the Mediterranean, Russia, the U.K., Iceland, Greenland and Canada. Not only is Laura very excited to be working with Belinda King Productions; a well-known, professional company producing great shows, but she is also pleased she is continuing to work within the luxury cruise ship brand.
Laura begins rehearsals towards the end of March and flies to Monte Carlo at the end of April to embark the ship and begin her contract. She will return near the end of October.
After a great 6 months at sea on board Silversea's the Silver Whisper, Laura is pleased to return to the UK in time for Christmas.
Not only did she thoroughly enjoy performing for the audiences on the ship, but she also was amazed by all the new and incredible places she travelled to, including Russia, Iceland, New York and the Caribbean.
Laura also created and developed a duet cabaret show with a fellow cast member called 'Get Happy' - a vintage style show with music from Judy Garland, Cole Porter, Rogers and Hammerstein, Gershwin and more. Clips of this cabaret are available to view on Laura's YouTube channel.
Laura is happy to announce that she has been offered a contract with Luna Rossa Productions as a Lead Vocalist on board Silversea's the Silver Whisper. This is her first professional vocalist contract so she is very excited to get started on rehearsals and travel the world!
